Animal magic

Children at Kidmore End pre-school visited Chalkhouse Green Farm accompanied by staff and mothers to learn about “baby animals”. The farm specialises in rare animals such as Suffolk Punch horses and owner Sarah Hall told the visitors about what the animals eat and how they are looked after. Nicky Liddon-Horncastle, pre-school manager, said: “Sarah and all her staff made the morning so enjoyable. It was an educational experience for the children — and the parents!” The pre-school now intends to raise money for Soundabout, a charity set up by Mrs Hall, a Kidmore End parish councillor, and her husband Johnny in memory of their autistic son Thomas, who passed away in 2002. They charity uses music to unlock the potential of people who have severe disabilities and autism. For more information, visit www.soundabout.org.uk
