Sarah Hall, who owns Chalkhouse Green Farm with her husband John, took the pupils and their parents on a tour to meet piglets, donkeys, ducks, geese and shire horses.
The visitors also ate fresh honey after being given a talk about it by Meryl Toomey in the newly refurbished barn. Nicky Liddon-Horncastle, manager of the pre-school, said: “It was a fantastic morning. All the children and their parents learnt a lot about the animals and their habitats. Even though the weather was a bit grey and wet, everyone’s spirits were really high due to the fantastic welcome from all the staff.”
