Burghfield and District Horticultural Society Visit

On the 19th July the BHDS visited CHGFarm and Gardens.

Amongst other things, they said they enjoyed the 1-acre garden and open traditional farmstead. Herbaceous borders, herb garden, shrubs, old-fashioned roses, trees incl medlar, quince and mulberries, walled ornamental kitchen garden. New cherry orchard. Rare breed farm animals incl an ancient breed of British White cattle, Suffolk Punch and Percheron horses, donkeys, Berkshire pigs, piglets, chickens, ducks and turkeys.

Plant and jam stall, donkey rides, swimming in covered pool, trailer rides, farm trail, horse logging demonstration, bee display.

So much to see and do!
